It can be difficult to buy southern folk pottery. If you live in the south you can actually buy it new from the families in their studios or at festivals , but if you don't live near one of the pottery towns you will have to buy it from someone who was near one of those towns.
Places to buy folk pottery:
Estate Sales, again, primarily in the south
Antique Stores, again, primarily in the south, and you'll pay a premium
Traditional auctions, primarily in the south but also scattered up the east coast, like at Crocker Farm, and only a small percentage have online bidding and shipping
There is always some on http://ebay.com , just maybe not what you want when you want it, which is also a problem with the above options.
http://etsy.com if you are after a more retail experience, but you will also pay a retail price (less than an antique store but more than ebay or a live auction)
You can also find a handful of things on Mercari, EBTH, Craigslist, and Facebook Marketplace, but not so many.
