Pottery Identification Wiki

Franklin, NC potter and face jug artist. May have moved from there. Most pieces seem to be dated around 1987, but I know he sent in a tip (from Franklin) to Ceramics Monthly in mid 1985, so he was there potting at least that early. Signed with a conjoined JF and a stick figure holding a pot. He called his Franklin, NC operation Hillside Pottery, which is difference than the Hillside Pottery in North Carolina that later became Smithfield Art Pottery.

All I know about his age is that the founder of Blue Ridge Pottery in Virginia called Jack Fleenor "old" at the time Fleenor inspired him to create Blue Ridge Pottery, and that man was already of retirement age.
