According to The Old Mill Pigeon River Pottery has been at the same location in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for over 50 years or 70 years depending on which press you read and was started by legendary potter Douglas Ferguson.
According to most collectors, Pigeon River Pottery is a new pottery at The Old Mill that has some of the same potters and employees some of the same potters, and Pigeon Forge Pottery closed back in 2000.
They use local clay.
